Within the road bike category, there are two major players.
Classic Road and All Road.

Classic Road bikes have traditional brake calipers and quick release dropouts. Tire clearance is 25-28mm.

All Road frames are the "modern" road bike with disc brakes and clearance for 32+mm tires which opens their use to gravel riding. All frames have flat mount disc brake compatibility.
